Motivated by the appearance of the COVID-19 pandemic, we lead the R&D project “COVILED, Intelligent disinfection system for the control of the aerial spread of COVID-19”. The consortium involved microbiology and epidemiology professionals and resulted in the co-creation of an IoT solution for monitoring indoor spaces and designing algorithms for predicting contagion risk situations. We have experience in the design of IoT solutions for real-time sensorisation of multiple data sources, creation of cloud dashboards and decision support systems. We focus on the design of interoperable solutions, with special attention to building European data spaces, in the pursuit of interoperability between stakeholders, users and providers in Europe in a reliable way.

Areas of cooperation sought

Participate in a proposal that includes, in addition to citizens’ health data (medical records, lifestyle, etc.), environmental and epidemiological variables that guarantee the creation of safe and healthy spaces for citizens. To address this objective, we are committed to real-time monitoring of environmental and epidemiological data through interoperable IoT architectures and the use of AI algorithms that help prevent emergency situations. We also propose the creation of a federated data space where different stakeholders can share information securely and confidentially.
