The Agency for Health Quality and Assessment of Catalonia (AQuAS, from Catalan “Agència de Qualitat i Avaluació Sanitàries de Catalunya”) is a public entity of the Catalan Department of Health. Its mission is to generate scientific and relevant knowledge to contribute to the improvement of the quality, safety and sustainability of the healthcare system, with the main goal of supporting the decision-making process of the citizens, professionals, managers and policymakers. AQuAS plays a crucial role in healthcare innovation by leading and participating in actions with local and international healthcare organizations, promoting new health standards through different tools for implementing and adopting innovation. Their efforts focus on introducing new techniques, processes, and developments in clinical practice and generating evidence for their implementation and adoption.

In DYMANO project, AQuAS collaborate closely with CatSalut, the sole public insurance provider of the Catalan Health Service, which serves as the healthcare planning authority for the region. The Catalan Health System serves a population of 8.016.606 people and offers universal coverage, ensuring that all individuals and communities have access to health services. The system includes over 160 healthcare entities and more than 940 facilities, ranging from primary health care centers to hospitals and intermediate care centers.
